What is the name of your state? Texas
I was recently awarded a judgement for back child support owed. The child support was with the office of the attorney general and it was only this month that the judgement was agreed to in mediation and has gone to the judge for his approval.
My question is this: Since the child support is well over the $500.00 amount, can and will the OAG go ahead and garnish the ncp's income tax refund and disburse it to me?
Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to offer.

Probably will try, but there may not be time to get the garnishment in place before the NCP files & gets the refund. Call the AG's office for details.
