Late filingWhat is the name of your state? Washington Hello, I make almost nothing income-wise. I've worked since 2000, but this is the first time I've ever bothered to file income taxes. I'm doing back-filing for my W-2's all the way back to 2000. Are there any fees and/or penalties I should be aware of? Any procedural things I should take into account? Thanks! |

| If you are due refunds for those years, there will be no penalty or interest or anything else. If you file 2000 prior to April 15, 2002, you will get any refund due you. If you owe, there will be late-filing penalties and interest based on the amount you owe. All things being relative, if you truly earned "almost nothing", then you'd just be filing to get your refunds. I suggest you have your returns done professionally. Snipes |

| Be sure to check into earned income credit. It may be available depending on your age & income & whether you have kids in the house.
