mistake on previous return? What is the name of your state? Massachusetts I was doing my great aunt's taxes and was looking over her 2003 tax return and because she is a state employee she does not pay social security or medicare tax. Her W-2 is left blank in those 2 areas, well, on the Massachusetts 2003 tax return line 11 H&R Block claimed $2000. How is that possible??? For 2004 it is left blank. Can someone please let me know, because I may have to have her amend her 2003 returns, she is very sick and does not need to worry about this right now. Thanks |

| If you read the form, for that box it says, amounts paid to SS, Medicare OR Massachusetts State Retirement. If you had it done at an H&R Block, take it back to them and ask to have it reviewed by an Enrolled Agent. If they were both done by Block, and one of them is wrong, they will amend it for free, and pay any penalties and interest owed. Snipes
