Mortage interest deductionTexas. Got behind on my mortage and did a re-finance with my mortage company. Basically borrowed the past due (Mostly interest) and tacked it on the end of my note. When I recieved my deductable interest statement from my mortage company, this amount wasn't included. Shouldn't I be able to deduct this from my taxes as interest paid? |

| No, because you didn't pay it, you financed it. Snipes
