My ex defaulted on a electric bill, I had to pay it, is this a deductable loss?Mississippi The house I had w/my ex (it was still in my name). He defaulted on an electric bill to the tune of $1200 and they came after me to pay it. Although I had not lived there for four years and had an established account in my name I still had to pay it? Someone suggested that may have been able to deduct that as a loss. Is this true and where would I fill out this deduction? |

| Sue your ex in small claims. The service was in your name so you were required to pay for it. My electric is in my name and I pay it. Does that give me the right to deduct it? |
