 no state or federal/withheldWhat is the name of your state? minnesota I have been employed at my church for about 11 hours a week. They are not taking out any federal or state tax. No one seems to know why. Does aneybody here know? I assume its because i dont work enough. i'd like to know. |

| Whether income taxes are withheld depends on how much you earned during the pay period & what withholding exemptions you claimed on your form w-4. Many churches do not withhold social security taxes at all. If they don't, you'll have to pay the employment taxes (15%) when you file your tax return. Be sure to save at least 20-25% of your gross pay for the IRS.
