What is the name of your state? NY.
I am a partner in ownership of a piece of property. One of my partners won't pay his share of the taxes. Is there anything I can do about it? I don't want to lose the property and he will not sell me his share. We have no written agreement. He is just supposed to pay his one quarter of the property taxes. The rest of us have been covering them for him.

Hire a lawyer. File a partition suit. The court will sell the land on the courthouse steps. You be there and buy it. That will solve the problems with this partner.

Keep the taxes paid up.

And next time, do everything in writing.
