what do you know about the information i have found about the income tax being voluntary and you do not have to pay. Irwin schiff is one of the proponents.

Don't believe him. That argument is based on the idea that income taxes are unconstitutional. It bit the dust when we amended the constitution to allow income taxes.

The tax system is largely based on the idea that people will report all their income voluntarily. It's involuntary because, if you have significant income & don't pay taxes, the government can assess the tax itself, impose fines, send you to jail, etc.

Here is a great site debunking this claims of 'pay no taxes', 'income tax illegal', etc. They are ALL scams. This site pulls the curtain aside and exposes them (including Schiff) for the frauds and scams they really are:

BTW, their homepage is also a great site for other financial scams and hoaxes:

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

That's good information. Can you state exactly which amendment changed the constitution to allow this type of taxation - income tax?

It was the 16th Amendment:
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

For a very good, accurate and LEGAL response to this issue, I repeat my reference to this site:
