property tax

What is the name of your state? Ilive in SC. my property is mortaged with citifinancial, but they never recorded it as them being lien holders.My property has been sold for taxes. I have until Oct. to redeem. My problem is coming up with 3.000 dollars. The court hose said they contacted the lien holders, but the one they have listed went out of buisness and citi took over. I never signed a contract with citi because Associates just turned all their loans over to them My question is should I contact citifinancial myself are they responsible to go and record it and pay the taxes.
