I got ready to do my US Federal income taxes last night and noticed that my mortgage company did not pay any property taxes in 2010. I called the bank this morning and they agreed that they had made a mistake and would overnight a check to the county. They told me it was not possible to reissue any tax information since it was now 2011. Will I be able to deduct those property taxes on my 2010 return or will I have to wait till 2011??
