What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NA, federal taxes

Time away at college does not count as time away from the primary home for the purposes of tax attributes for children.

Except: Time away at West Point or Annapolis (case law backs that up and the parents of the cadets receive letters telling them that they cannot claim their children as dependents as the military fully supports them).

So...time away at Jobs Corp...does it fit the normal scenario or does it fit the West Point/Annapolis scenario?

Parents' Guide states: "Students receive housing, meals, basic health care, a living allowance, training, and preparation for a career – all at no cost to you." "You," in this sentence, is the parent.
