Question regarding an amended income tax returnI just discovered an error in my 2000 income tax return that will produce an additional $982 refund for that year if I file a 1040X. My 2001 return shows that I owe $930 this year. My question is whether I have to pay the $930 and then wait for the $982, or can I submit the amended 2000 return with my 2001 return and wait for the $52 difference? Thanks, Andy |

| You have to pay the $930 and wait for the $982. Otherwise, there will be interest and a penalty on the $930. |
