Real estate taxWhat is the name of your state? NJ My father owns a house in PA, which he lives in. He has told me that the deed to the house is in his name. He has said that he is leaving the house to myself and my sister in his will (not sure if it is a legal will or just something his has drawn up). Question: When he passes would it be better if we inherit the house and pay an inheritence tax or should we have it changed now to reflect my sister and myself as the owner and would that require we buy it? |

| Unless Dad has over a million bucks, it's better to inherit. The inheritance tax on the first million or so is waived, so you essentially get the house with no taxes.
