What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Minnesota The state of California sent me a 2008 form 1099-G for $234.00 for the 2007 tax year. I read the instructions but I'm still confused.

Do I need to do anything with the $234 for this year's tax return? P.S. I do not itemize.

If so, why and where do I plug the numbers into on this years 1040 form?

Thanks! Kevin

If you do not itemize, then you do not report the refund on your federal return. You simply ignore it.
