What is the name of your state? Virginia
I worked and retired in Virginia. I'm thinking about moving to Florida. Do I still have to have Virginia state tax paid from my retirement check? Will Florida take out state tax on my retirement?

Once you become a resident of Florida you are no longer obligated to pay Virginia taxes. Florida does not have a state income tax so you won't have to have any taxes withheld. Why do you think retirees like to move to Florida?
