What is the name of your state? TX
I want to change a carreer so I took a seminar in Real Estate Investment. Is this a deductible item? and where abouts on the tax forms that would be done? Thanks!

Possibly deductible as an Education Credit or Deduction. Wait and see if you receive a form 1098-T from the place where you took the course, if it was indeed a course.

If it was simply a seminar to change careers, you're out of luck, not deductible anywhere. Only seminars to improve your CURRENT occupation are deductible if they were not an accredited course at an accredited institution.
