What is the name of your state? California

Hello,

I live in California and my husband moved to Texas last year (he lived there for the whole duration of 2004). He still does.
We are still legally married but will divorce soon.
I make much more money than he does, but he's willing to file taxes together.
Can we file together even living apart during 2004?
I am planning to do it myself using Turbo Tax Deluxe.

thanks!

You can file married filing joint, married filing seperately, or if you have a dependent child that you supported and whom lived with you over 6 months then you could file HOH. If you file seperately, you may lose some valuable credits and both of you would either have to itemize or both of you take the standard deduction.
