I moved from Hawaii on Feb 28 2006, gave out my parent's-in-laws address (in California) as my new address (for receiving mail) and was essentially out of the country (in Africa) for the remainder of the year. Now, back in the US, my wife and I will be touring around; finding where we want to live (we're still essentially "homeless").
My wife worked for those 2 months in Hawaii where Federal and Hi taxes were withheld and we did earn some savings account interest and capital gains while we were away. In what state do I have to file 2006 state income taxes?
