| | | State income tax question I live in the state of Nevada but the corporation I work for has offices in California which I work out of. Half of the work I perform is in the state of Nevada but the company still deducts California state taxes on all my earnings no matter what state I am working in. The corporation is requiring mandatory overtime work from the employees that work out of the California office to be performed in Nevada and for the office in Nevada. I want to know if I am required to pay California state income tax on the money that I earn while working in the state of Nevada(Nevada has no state income tax). I also need to know if the company I work for is required to separate my earnings so that I only pay income tax to California on the monies I earn while working in the state of California and not while working in Nevada. | |
