state income taxesWhat is the name of your state? New Jersey I am currently living in New Jersey and will be when it is time to file taxes. I only worked in Ohio for 2004 as of now. My problem is my employer started listing me as employed in Colorado. Spoke with my manager but nothing was never done subsequently they started taking Colorado taxes out of my checks. I am no longer employed by this employer, however I am getting a 4 check severence pay that is still taking out Colorado taxes. How do I get my taxes back from Colorado? I never lived or worked in Colorado. |

| You file a CO nonresident return & list $0 of CO income, & include a statement that you lived & worked in OH, performed no services in CO, & your employer mistakenly withheld CO state taxes instead of OH state taxes. You will also file OH & NJ part-year resident returns. I suggest a professional tax preparer.
