Step-father helped me out this year.

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Mexico

I didn't have any taxes taken out of my check this year because I didn't make enough money, but I still wanted to get the EIC. My Stepfather has been helping me out all year. I'm a single mom with one little girl. We live in our own apartment not with him. I get foodstamps and he gives me $75 a month towards my rent and insisted on buying us a car. He also pays the car insurance because I insisted we can't afford a car. I pay for my daughters clothes, the rest of the rent, phone, electric, gas, water, sewer and anything else she needs. I do not get child support.

Is there anything my step-father can claim on his taxes reguarding us? I think he want the child tax credit and the EIC. But I had intended to take that myself. I guess what I'm not sure of is what bills are counted as support of the child and if we had to have lived at his house (we did for two weeks).

No, he can't. You had to live there for more than 6 months of the year.
