What is the name of your state? California. I am a retired widow. I
hava a grandson who is a 19 yr full time college student & lives with me. Can I claim my grandson on my 2005 tax filings? In addition, I have supported my grandson financially in 2005.

Yes, because he is your grandson, and because he is a full time student, and because he lives with you and is supported by you, he passes all the tests for you to claim him as a dependent.

If, in the future he works at all, you would still be able to claim him as a dependent, however he would not be able to claim himself on his own tax return. So it would be important for the two of you to coordinate that when filing your respective tax returns.
