Tax deduction for partial year support.

What is the name of your state? NY

My child support obligations end this month. Under the divorce decree I had been entitled to take claim my daughter for tax purposes. I was wondering who would be eligible to take her this year?

That depends on what your decree says, and whether or not the CP is willing to give you the exemption. It has nothing to do with the IRS, however.
