    Tax Fraud

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma
I am a self-contractor and I got a 1099 from a company that paid me $4731.00 in 2007. I got a letter from the IRS that shows that he paid me $414,731.00. I called the IRS and they said his company is claiming this amount against me. I got things settled with the IRS, unless he decides to dispute it, but do I have legal recourse? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I am sure it was a simple error. No harm, no foul. He is not likely to dispute it and you will not have to deal with it again. BTW, he has to do more than just say - yeah, I paid them that. He has to prove it with canceled checks or signed receipts.
