A Tax Lien On Property

What is the name of your state? MO

The state of Missouri put a lien on my home for a tax debt that only I owe (My husband and I own the home jointly.). My husband wants me to sell my half of the home to him for a fair market value--to write up a contract stating that he'll pay me such and such an amount over the next several years. Then I'd send these monthly payments to the state of Missouri until the lien is paid off. He believes that this will save the house from being taken by creditors or from having more leins attached to it as I have several large debts, including one to the IRS.

But I question the legality of this. Would this just get me into a heap of trouble or is it a feasible solution to protecting our home?

Thanks!
