What is the name of your state? CA

I have an AG Income of under 52,000. I received a tax rebate of 399.00. I have no children and am single. Why wasn't it the 600.00? I am grateful for the $, but wondered how they figured it. From what I've read, it should have been $600. Pls advise. Thanks

Look at line 46 on your 1040 for 2007. I can just about guarantee that its 399.00.

In order to get 600.00 you had to have paid at least 600.00 in tax. Otherwise you get the amount on line 46, or 300.00 whichever is greater. You must have had lots of itemized deductions.
