My sister's husband has not paid their property taxes for 5 years and now their home is going up for tax sale. They probably will not be able to come up with the money owed. My question is, is she able to remove personal belongings and household items now? She was unaware that the taxes weren't being paid. I think this is the end of the marriage and she's going to be moving out and separating. But she's worried about her and her son's clothes, beds, dresser, family heirlooms, dishes etc. Should she get things out of the house now? The sale is scheduled for 7/26.
