Taxability on rental income of homeWhat is the name of your state? AZ I'm unsure if anyone could help me or point me in the right direction but as most know the Super Bowl is headed for Phoenix. Hotels have become sold out for that time frame and many residents have listed their house as a potential rental. Is it true that this income if you rent your house under 15 days is tax-free?What is the name of your state? |

| Yes, if you rent your home for 14 days or less in a year, the income is tax-free. You cannot claim any rental-related expenses like advertising, though. You still claim mortgage interest & property taxes on Schedule A like usual.
