What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ohio
i am one of those who dont mind paying my fair share of taxes
however a situation in ohio has been bothering me for years
i live and vote in fredericktown ohio and am employed by a company in mansfeild
but all my work thru this company is in mt.vernon
my local income taxes are taken for mt. vernon...
i want to pay fredericktown...levies have failed for the schools
and i think it unjust that my local taxes are not where i live and vote...what can i do?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

The rule is first you pay where you work. After that, usually up to 2% of tax paid there, is exempt toward taxes where you live. This can leave you paying none or a small bit of taxes where you live.
