Taxes Issue For H1b Person

Hi
I have q quick question regarding Taxes of H1B visa holder.I am in usa on H1b visa.
My Brother generated 1099Misc on my SSN without knowing me from one real estate company.Generating 1099Misc Is legal for H1b visa person?I didn't get any money from that company regarding that 1099Misc,Is it effect to my green card processing?How can i report this issue to IRS?Can we take any action on that company against Tax Fraud?Please help me and give me an idea,i am very afraid of that issue,Is there any
suggestions form Your side.

Need more info.

What is the amount on the 1099-MISC? What box number is the amount in? (Probably 3 or 7)

What does this amount represent? The value of hiring an immigration attorney for you? Proceeds from a real estate sale? A prize you won?

Do you work for the company that issued the 1099-MISC? Did you have any dealings with them? Did your brother have any dealings with them?

Why did the issuing company have your SSN? Did your brother give it to them? Why? Is he a resident alien or not?
