Taxes and passing real propertyWhat is the name of your state? GA What is the most tax-efficient way (on both sides) of passing real property to one's heirs -- holding joint title w/ right of survivorship, via will, selling to heir for nominal amount like $1, gifting, put in a trust, or some other manner? Thank you in advance for your reply. |

| No way to answer that question without knowing the size if your taxable estate, how much the house has gone up in value, if you want to keep living there after they own it, what probate fees you'll pay, etc. Go see an estate planner.
