Tuition deduction questionWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa, My son attended college spring semester 08. I did not get a T1098 from the school. When we inquired about how much we paid in tuition for 08 they said it was paid in 07(december) therefore should have been deducted on 07's taxes. Since we did not get a T1098 from them last year either I did not report it on 07 taxes. Can I still take the deduction on my 08 taxes? Thanks! |

| No, deductions belong to the year they were paid. Amend 2007 if it makes a difference.
