Virginia State Taxes

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I live in Texas. I recently received a notice from the State of Virginia that I owed state income taxes for the year 1992. I know that Texas has very limited garnishment laws. Can the state of Virginia garnish Texas wages for taxes they claim I owe?

Certainly. Government is not subject to rules for civil judgements.

klwoodhouse, you should contact Virginia and make certain the tax and amount owed is both correct and yours as well as when they determined you owed the tax and why.
