My sons father and I are now living together, and considering purchasing a home together sometime during this year. We currently share joint custody of our son. In the past I was the one who claimed him because he lived solely with me and I was paying for over half the expenses.

Although he makes more money than I do, We share the bills 50/50. What, if anything, determines who should be claiming our son next year? Could someone please help me or send me in the right direction?
