What is the name of your state?Texas
My Daughter has taken up payments on a mobile home in a
trailer park which she pays $250.00/month rent on the lot.
She is moving the mobile home to another plot of land owned
by her soon-to-be-inlaws. Upon checking the county taxes she
found the back taxes were not paid since 2002 either by the
last tenants or the original owner of the mobile home. Who is
responsible for the taxes and how does she get the appropriate people to pay?The original owner never mentioned
taxes and wants her to take the trailer off his hands. There is
$10,000 left on the note.

She really shouldn't take over the payments without a formal contract with the owner of the mobile home. That contract should address the back taxes and who is to pay them. However, realistically, if the back taxes aren't paid the home will be seized and auctioned off....therefore if she wants to keep the home...she is probably going to get stuck paying the back taxes.
