state is calif. father died and made me executor of will. left estate to mom who is in last stages of alzheimers and requires a caregiver. his wishes, announced to entire family, were that i take care of Mom and to split the estate 6 ways. now, one of my siblings has filed for joint conservatorship with me having physical custody of mom and she having custody of all finances. as executor do i have any rights regarding conservatorship? does his will attach any authority to me at all? the temporary hearing is june 24th and i'm at a total loss as to what, if anything, i can do. help!

You need to be discussing this with a family law attorney, since it is unlikely that one would be reading this message board.
