| | Collective Barging Question This is a carry over from another topic on not getting paid. Filed a grievance and per contract I should have had at least (2) meeting with management and union represented buy this time. Neither have occurred**************.
Question: Who's responsibility is it too have these meetings? Mine - the shop steward -or the Union Representative**************.. What is the name of your state? FLORIDA |

As far as responsibility, you need to find out what the CBA requires. Did you file the grievance with the support of the union or did you file it independently? If it was with the support of the union you then need to talk with your representative to find out what is going on. It is not the responsibility of the company to keep you informed regarding the status of your grievance. It is the reponsibility of the representative. |

Management said "NO"!! too my complaint, Shop steward said what do you want too do? I said file a grievance, Shop steward handed me a tri-copy grievance form, filled that out handed back too the shop steward. That was 15 days ago. Per are contract I should have had 1 meeting with a steward and Foreman. Meeting 2 with steward-foreman-manager + if available my Union Representative all with in 10 days of occurrence. If the grievance is dismissed then I can refile a appeal. I have no idea on time line of the appeal. This is a Federal Sub Contractor I'm dealing with. Just wondering about "TIME" I know from pass problems theirs a time element |

| | | If the contract calls for the meetings to take place within 10 days and 15 days have passed, you need to talk to your union rep. to find out what it going on. TECHNICALLY, unless there has been an extension granted, the timelimits have expired.
Talk to the union steward. |
