Company refuse to reissue lost checkI lost a paycheck, found it a year later, asked for reissue, they refuse, what should I do? sue? Or do they have the upper hand? When I asked for reissue, they said that the bank for the check was closed and therefore, they don't owe me money. I tell them that this statement proves that I worked my hours, payed the taxes on it, and how much money the company owes me, regardless of which bank the money will come from. It's the company that has the money, not the bank. |

| well, if you had posted your state like you were directed to, a bit of advice could be had. As it is, I do not know how your state deal with situations such as this.
