The recent union newsletter mentioned me by name and made terrible, untrue statements about me. Is there a government agency (state or federal) that I can file a complaint with? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

You can try complaining to the NLRB (the government body that regulates unions), however, you might not get anywhere because I suspect what the union's done is legal. If the NLRB does nothing, you could try suing the union for slander/defamation, however you would have to show a monetary loss ("damages") that was sustained by you as a direct result of the "terrible, untrue statements" the union made about you.
