What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

when i started this job i was told that i would be working 22:00 to 06:00 at the latest. my question is this can they write me up for termination if i leave when im suppose to get off. or can they fire me for not wanting to stay. Also my wife was fired for being late because of me and the change they made to relief rules i explain my situation to the supervisor and he tells me he cant show favoritism
i told him that when i was hired it wasnt what i agreed to

What does your contrct say? Have you discussed your concerns with your union rep?

You should listen to your union rep.

It doesn't matter. Absent of a specific provision in your union contract stating that employees only have to work a certain number of hours, your employer can require you to work beyond the normal end of your shift. The only law that really applies in your case requires a minimum of 8 hours between the end of one shift and the start of another.
