How to take legal action against a labor union

What is the name of your state? Michigan
My daughter was released from the apprenticeship program at a Detroit area pipefitters union. Reason given were inadequate skills. She served 3 years in the program and was a member of the union for 2 years. EEOC did not want to pursue but indicated she had a legitamate claim. There was sexism on the job and at the union. The work environment was hostile toward women. EEOC and a laywer they recommended did not seem to know how take action against a labor union. Any recommendations? What is the name of your state?
