Union Issues!!!

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Nevada

Hello My Name Is John,
I applied for a job at casino for temporary employment. They told me I would have to go to the union to sign some paper so I could work. They called it a referral or waiver without having to join the union so I did. 7 months later I got a job at another casino and they said I did not have to join the union so I took the job and have been working there for 9 months. In august ,the union started taking dues from my check which I never authorized. What they did was take a copy of the papers took out the first employer and put in the new employer and sent it to them. So what can I do about this ? And what type of offense is this?
Thank you,

What did the union tell you when you contacted them??

There is no suggestion that a (criminal) offense occurred.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

answer to first question.
They said that I did authorize it. And I need to send a certified letter to cancel. But I did not authorize it. They change the employers name. I never signed any documents to be a union member.

There has to be some type of crime to take a copy of someones signature and apply it to another copy and to say they authorized it.

Apparently you did or the union wouldn't say you did. The solution here is very simple.... "send a certified letter to cancel".

Not if the document says that you DID authorize it.

Sorry, no 'legal lotto' here. Do not pass GO!. Do not collect any money.

were they withholding dues when you worked for the 1st employer?

Are you sure it isn't a "Fair Share" deduction and not actual union dues? While you might not have to join the union, many places make non union pay the S.F. since you do get to enjoy some of the benefits.
