Union shop and Service Contract Act

What is the name of your state? North Carolina, and several others.

I work for a national corporation. We provide services to the public under the federal service contract act. This is not done on federal property. In a right to work state, are union shops legal for federal contractors? I have found that yes, it's legal on federal property or a federal enclave. I've found that no, it is not legal in a right to work state. But I haven't found a specific reference to a federal contract in a right to work state. Thanks.

"Right to work" is a legal concept in some states, and it means that individuals have the right to work in a union shop and at the same time, refuse union representation. Whether or not their employers are federal contractors probably has nothing to do with it. For more detailed information, contact the NLRB.
