Audio Surveillance

Recently at work a coworker and I were speaking about problems within our campany when noone else was there. Two days later I get called into my supervisiors office and he pretty much repeats everything that was being said during the conversation. We do have surveillance cameras and it is posted that there is video surveillance taking place. My question is that since there are microphones in the office must this also be posted that there is audio surveillance taking place?
