Need help making my case sound better

Manufactorers, dealers, distributers, and importers of firearms or ammuntion, are immune from all lawsuits regarding the misuse of their products; excluding defective products or sales that violate state of federal law.

Im currently working on an ammendment to add on for a mock constitution

(I have to play a republican role)

Is there any way I can make this sound more official?
