Hello,
I recently sent in an OMA (open meeting act) complaint to the AG's office in regards to the local school committee violating laws. The complaint is in the process of being reviewed.

Today at a public school financial meeting, the Superintendent of the school mentioned the OMA complaint. He stated that he had dealt with an OMA complaint in a different town and they "sued" the complainant and won the case. The complainant had to pay legal costs.

This comment was directed at me.

My question is this-- I had planned on sending in another OMA complaint on another issue. But after the Superintendents intimidating comment I am not sure what route to take.

Can the superintendent threaten me with a law suit if I complain to the AG about not receiving public documents?

Thank you for any advice.
