Is it lawful for high school administration staff members to be able to search privatly owned vehicles parked on school property without prior consent or a search warrant in the state of Nebraska?

Was this in a private or public school? What was the result ie. found drugs, weapons, other contraband?

This was done at a public school. They had a report from a mother that she thought her son was drinking while driving to school. Steming from that, they decided to search all the vehicles of the students parked on school property. They first searched vehicles without anyones prior knowledge that were unlocked. If they found an empty pack of cigarettes, or chew containers, they had the students come out open there trunks and glove compartments, and going thru there luggage that was in the trunk. This was done without consent or law enforcement present.
