If I file a writ of mandamus to the Supreme Court of the United States, does that bar me from also filing a writ of certiorari?

They are not related.

Mandamus is a remedy you request the court impose against the other party.

Certiorari is a request to the court to review your case, ie. you are appealing a decision of a lower court.
