Life Insurance Settlements or Viaticals

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
Are life insurance settlements safe? I was thinking to take out a life ins. policy on myself then sell it in a few years. Is this feasible? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Except for the fact the numbers probably won't work out, it's feasable.

Remember, the insurance company wants to make a profit so will underwrite your life to their favor. Then the viatical folks will do the same thing.

If you're looking for an investment, you are going to have to be able to out figure *both* sets of professionals. And, the sooner you die, the more you "win".
