| Is any part of my salary really 'commission'? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC
I mean 'was' I am no longer employed.
Will someone please break this statement down for me?
"the Employer will pay to the Employee a commission according to the following commission formula: Fifteen percent (15%) of the gross profits of generated sales by the Employee in the Employee's sales area with a minimum guaranteed yearly salary of $32,500.00. This compensation will be payable every two weeks while this Agreement is in force".
My employer asked if she could "hold" my pay for a month.. long story short, she ended up owing me almost $10,000. She said I work on a draw (is this true?) and she doesn't owe me anything. I currently have a complaint into the DOL, which is still being investigated. They said they will make a determination and mail it to me. How can they make a decision without even talking to me?
Thank you for any insight... please refrain from saying how stupid I was to stay for as long as I did, its hard to find a job right now!
